This policy explains how Lexy Esthétique collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit lexyesthetique.ca, book an appointment or contact us. It is intended to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Who we are
Lexy Esthétique is a private aesthetic studio in Châteauguay, Quebec, operated by Maude Girard. This website and the booking tools are intended primarily for clients in Quebec.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide: name, phone number, email, appointment details, and any health or skin information you choose to share so we can treat you safely. When you pay online, payment is processed by Square. We do not store your full card number on this website. Technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) may also be recorded by our hosting provider and, if you consent, by advertising tools.
How we use information
We use your information to confirm and manage appointments, send reminders, follow up, answer your messages, issue insurance receipts when applicable, operate and improve the site, and meet our legal obligations. If you accept advertising cookies, we also use them to measure the performance of our campaigns. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share certain information with providers who help us run the business, only as needed: Square (booking and payments), our website host, and Google (Google Ads) if you accept advertising cookies. When you use the booking widget, Square's terms and privacy policy also apply to that service.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies and local storage help the site work: they remember your language and your privacy choice. The site also loads fonts through Google Fonts, which may send a technical request to Google. Advertising cookies (Google Ads, conversion measurement) load only if you click Accept all. Refusing those optional cookies is as easy as accepting them. You can change your choice at any time via Cookies in the footer.
Retention
Client and appointment records are kept as long as needed to provide care, follow up, issue receipts, and meet legal and professional obligations applicable in Quebec. They are then securely deleted or anonymized.
Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No transmission over the Internet is completely free of risk.
Your rights (Law 25)
Under Law 25, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent where the law allows, and details about how your data is used.
